Should we live in harmony...??

I'll try my best to express all the conclusions we got here.
Several days ago, I had chats with my room-mate. We had a lot of conversations about many things. We started from a Book, titled The Da Vinci's Code. Many controvertions about this book. But we agree about one thing that the book is so fabulous. No doubt about it.
We continued our discussions till we reached to one topic. It's about holly books and the people who are following what they believe. Bible, Qur'an, and Taurat Bible. Many similar stories from the big three religions on earth. About the prophers, God (basically, all of them believe in one God), stories, etc.
All of those religions teach the followers about peace, how to make relationships to others. None of 'em teach about wars, hates, killing others. But, why we still got stucked in hating each other, killing others, try to discriminate others.
Finally we got one conclusion. We should be able to intrepet what the holly books say. Not just following what have been stated there, but we must be able to think, to reflect it to our selves, and check and recheck. In our opinions, what stated in those books, are the example of our lives. Those books show us how we live, how we interact to others. Don't do sins. Killing others is not allowed. Take the lessons. Yes, we should follow what was instructed. Note. Instructions, and commands. About all the stories? We should intrepet all of them.
