Djakarta ....used to be

It was so clear in my head. One of this Kompas Daily Newspaper's article said that Jakarta used to be called "Venezia from East". Isn't that so cool? This article said that Jakarta sea's level is much higher than its main land level. We should be proud of it.

Well, no much to say about this area unless.... the most craziest place get in to traffic jam..!!!!

This is Glodok in 1890. What do we see?
And nowadays, Glodok is one of the most favourite place in Jakarta to find sins... :-)
